In a quiet Clinton, Maryland home, a beloved special education teacher's life was tragically cut short in what police have described as a domestic-related murder-suicide. Anika Browne, a 46-year-old female, was found deceased in her residence on E. Boniwood Turn on the evening of Monday, June 3, 2019. Authorities had been called to the home for a welfare check at approximately 10:10 p.m.
Upon entering the house, officers discovered Ms. Browne in a bedroom, suffering from gunshot wounds.
In the same room, they found her 49-year-old boyfriend, Gordon Johnson, who was also deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators quickly determined that Johnson had shot and killed Browne before taking his own life.
