In the early morning hours of August 20, 2020, a shooting in Elkton, Maryland, claimed the life of 29-year-old Shane Andrew Sisco. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. in the parking lot of the West Creek Shoppes on South Chestnut Drive. Sisco, a male resident of College Park, Georgia, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Following the shooting, Sisco was transported by a private vehicle to Union Hospital in Elkton.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds. Authorities from the Cecil County Sheriff's Office were called to the shopping center, where they found evidence of the shooting but no victim.
Investigators learned that Sisco had ties to both Cecil and Kent counties in Maryland. At the time of the initial reports, law enforcement had not identified any suspects or determined a motive for the shooting.
