Roderick Godfrey, age 19, was killed on November 28, 2016, in Oakland, California. The incident occurred in the 700 block of 39th Street in West Oakland at around 10:15 a.m. Roderick was one of two victims in this double shooting—his companion, Deante Miller, was also killed in the same incident. Godfrey died at the scene, while Miller succumbed to his injuries later at a hospital.
