James Allen Simon Jr., aged 39, tragically lost his life on January 25, 2021, in Hyattsville, Maryland. The incident occurred shortly before noon when patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire and a car crash in the 2100 block of E Spring Place. Upon arrival, officers discovered a car that had crashed into a home, with Simon found in the driver's seat suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.
