On the afternoon of March 19, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Baltimore neighborhood. When the echoes faded, 36-year-old Kendall Garzette Norman Jr., a Black male, lay wounded in the 5200 block of Cordelia Avenue. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved fatal. The city’s Homicide Unit immediately opened an investigation into the shooting death of the beloved father, son, and friend.
