J’Lyn Quinones, an 18-year-old female, was fatally shot on April 20, 2021, in Capitol Heights, Maryland. At the time of her death, Quinones was pregnant, and although she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital, her baby was delivered via emergency surgery and was expected to survive. The shooting occurred as Quinones and another woman were crossing Quinn Street near Southern Avenue. After being shot, both victims ran across the border into Washington D.C. seeking help ...
