Ephraim Gordon, a 31-year-old Israeli man, was visiting Baltimore, Maryland, for his cousin's wedding in May 2021. In the early morning hours of May 3rd, just after midnight, he was tragically shot and killed on the doorstep of his aunt and uncle's home in the 3700 block of Fords Lane. Gordon had just parked his car when he was approached by several individuals in what police described as an attempted robbery and carjacking.
He was found with a gunshot wound to his torso and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into Gordon's murder led Baltimore Police to identify several suspects through video surveillance footage and physical evidence. Within a month of the incident, authorities announced the arrests of three teenagers: 18-year-old William Clinton III, a 17-year-old male, and a 16-year-old male. A fourth suspect, William Holloman, who was also 16 at the time of the murder, was identified and charged later in the investigation with the cooperation of the other defendants. The motive for the attack was determined to be a robbery that escalated.
The legal process for the four individuals charged in Ephraim Gordon's death concluded with all being held accountable. Three of the suspects, Rasheed Morris, Omarion Anderson, and William Clinton, eventually accepted plea deals on charges of first-degree murder. In September 2024, Morris was sentenced to life in prison with all but 40 years suspended. In December of the same year, Anderson received a sentence of life with all but 25 years suspended, and Clinton was sentenced to life with all but 30 years suspended. The fourth suspect, William Holloman, was convicted of first-degree murder by a jury in July 2024 and was later sentenced to life in prison with all but 50 years suspended.
