In the autumn of 2011, the life of Marvin White, an 84-year-old Black/African American man and a veteran of the Korean War, came to a tragic and violent end in his Louisville, Kentucky home. On November 12th of that year, Mr. White was found beaten to death inside his residence on South 40th Street. The brutal nature of the crime sent ripples of concern through the community and left his family grappling with a devastating loss.
