In the quiet community of Linkwood, Maryland, the life of 77-year-old Douglas Washington McKnight was brought to a tragic and unexpected end on a Sunday afternoon. On October 17, 2021, deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 3700 block of Ocean Gateway following a report of a shooting.
