In the early evening of November 10, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the ordinary atmosphere of the Lakeforest Mall parking lot in Gaithersburg, Maryland. When the sounds of the shots faded, 29-year-old Terrance Donte Dimes, a male resident of Gaithersburg, was left with a fatal gunshot wound.
