On June 2, 2024, Ange Gadji, a 30-year-old resident of Gaithersburg, Maryland, was shot in an incident that has been classified as a homicide. Police responded to the scene on Frederick Avenue and discovered Gadji suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
