On February 8, 2024, the body of Delondre Levert Sawyer, a 35-year-old man from Germantown, Maryland, was discovered in a wooded area along the 11200 block of Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg. The Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting an unresponsive person, prompting police and homicide detectives to investigate the scene.
