Maliyah Turner, a 13-year-old student at Sandtown Winchester Achievement Academy, was tragically shot and killed on November 18, 2021, in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred outside the Lillian S. Jones Recreation Center on North Stricker Street, where Maliyah had been attending marching band practice.
