On December 30, 2021, a 23-year-old Black male named Jordan Braxton was found with clear signs of trauma in the 5100 block of Dickey Hill Road in Baltimore, Maryland. Initially, the nature of his injuries was unclear, but authorities quickly determined he had been shot. Braxton was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries the following day.
In the weeks that followed, investigators worked to identify a suspect in the fatal shooting.
Their efforts led to the arrest of 23-year-old Dayqun Lawson in connection with Braxton's death. Lawson was subsequently charged with first-degree murder and taken into custody.
