In the summer of 2018, the life of 28-year-old Xavier Charles, a Black male from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On the night of Sunday, July 29th, violence erupted in the city, and Charles became one of its victims. He was discovered in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway in the Park Heights area, suffering from a gunshot wound.
