Devin Scott Freeman, a 19-year-old from Brooklyn, Maryland, was found dead on February 27, 2022, behind Gonce Funeral Service on Ritchie Highway. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Freeman died from multiple gunshot wounds, leading Anne Arundel County police to investigate his death as a homicide. Freeman's body was discovered around 10 a.m., and the scene indicated signs of trauma, including blood in the parking lot and an empty wallet, suggesting a possible robbery.
