On a violent Saturday night in Baltimore, Maryland, a quadruple shooting shattered the peace at the intersection of Liberty Heights and Gwynn Oak avenues in the Howard Park neighborhood. Among the lives tragically cut short on March 12, 2022, was that of 26-year-old Timothy Brown Jr. The deadly burst of gunfire, which erupted around 8:30 p.m., also claimed the lives of Darian Savoy, 26, and Jawan Hall, 25, and left a 73-year-old man wounded.
This incident was part of a particularly violent weekend in the city, during which a total of 13 people were shot.
Responding officers discovered a grim scene, with two of the victims located inside an SUV that had crashed into a building, while the others were found lying in the street. All four victims were rushed to a local hospital, but for Brown, Savoy, and Hall, it was too late; they were pronounced dead upon arrival. The sole survivor was the elderly man who sustained injuries in the attack.
In the aftermath of the triple homicide, the Baltimore Police Department launched an investigation, reviewing surveillance footage from cameras near the crime scene. To encourage witnesses to come forward, Metro Crime Stoppers offered an $8,000 reward for any information that could lead to an arrest in the case.
