On a Sunday evening in November 2012, Andre Ballard, a 43-year-old Black male, was attacked after finishing a double shift at his job in Louisville, Kentucky. The father of seven had worked at Indi's Fast Food Restaurant for eight years and was waiting for a bus at 11th and Chestnut Streets on November 18th when he was shot in the stomach.
