Do you know who murdered Jamah Gatlin? In the spring of 2018, the life of Jamah Gatlin, a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On the afternoon of April 3rd, a ShotSpotter alert drew Louisville Metro Police to the 100 block of Boston Court in the Shawnee neighborhood. There, they discovered Gatlin suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died later that day.
The Jefferson County Deputy Coroner later confirmed Jamah
Gatlin as the victim of the shooting. Known to some by the nickname '2 Mane,' Gatlin was remembered as an outspoken and confident individual, who was pursuing his passion as a rapper. Just two days before his untimely death, he had been at work as a server.
In the wake of the shooting, the Louisville Metro Police Department initiated an investigation into Gatlin's death. However, despite their efforts, no suspect was immediately arrested in connection with the case. The investigation into the deadly shooting that ended the young man's life remained ongoing, leaving a void in the community and for a family that had lost a son.
