In the spring of 2018, the life of Jamah Gatlin, a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On the afternoon of April 3rd, a ShotSpotter alert drew Louisville Metro Police to the 100 block of Boston Court in the Shawnee neighborhood. There, they discovered Gatlin suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died later that day.
