On a summer morning in District Heights, Maryland, a dispute between two men who knew each other escalated into a fatal encounter. It was around 10:00 a.m. on July 20, 2022, when patrol officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Walters Lane following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Tremayne Crawford of Suitland suffering from a gunshot wound.
