In the late summer evening of August 8, 2022, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, the life of 37-year-old Miranda Queen was tragically cut short. At approximately 10:15 pm, patrol officers responded to a call for a shooting in the 12500 block of Woodstock Drive East. Upon their arrival, they discovered Miranda Queen outside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The incident, which is being investigated as a homicide, also left another individual, an adult male, in critical condition from gunshot wounds. Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to determine a motive and identify any potential suspects involved in the shooting. As of now, the reasons behind this violent act remain unclear to the public.
Authorities have offered a substantial reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in connection with Miranda Queen's death. Law enforcement officials have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and have provided multiple ways for individuals to share what they know, including the option to remain anonymous. To date, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests or the identification of any suspects in this ongoing investigation.
