Janice Harris, a 72-year-old woman from Whitakers, North Carolina, was found dead on August 21, 2017. Her death was part of a tragic incident where four elderly individuals were shot and killed in what authorities believe was a gang-related home invasion. The other victims included James Harris, 88, James Whitley, 76, and Peggy Jo Whitley, 67.
