In the quiet community of Bradford Springs, South Carolina, a dedicated law enforcement officer's life was tragically cut short in the line of duty. Police Officer William Clyde, a male, was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend a fugitive who had escaped from a chain gang two months prior. Officer Clyde had received information that the wanted man was hiding in a nearby home and, accompanied by a constable, went to the location to investigate.
