John Wesley-Reese Allen, a 33-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on May 5, 2021, in a drive-by shooting in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. when Allen and another man were standing on the sidewalk in the 4100 block of West Adams Street.
