Anthony Diaz, age 13, was fatally shot on February 8, 2015, in Chicago's Belmont Cragin neighborhood. The tragic incident began with a dispute on Facebook, which led Diaz and his two older sisters to sneak out of their home that evening to confront another individual about the conflict. The altercation escalated into violence, and Diaz was shot multiple times just a block away from his house. He was reportedly recording the confrontation on his cellphone at the time of the shooting.
