Leonard Wallace Jr., a 49-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on May 12, 2020, in Dolton, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. in the 14800 block of Michigan Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Wallace was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead approximately three hours later. An autopsy confirmed that he died from his injuries, and his death was ruled a homicide.
