McDuffie Hampton Stone, a 32-year-old police officer from Laurens, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 28, 1909, while performing his duties. Officer Stone had been serving with the Laurens Police Department for two years. On the night of his death, he and his partner, Officer W.
