Master Public Safety Officer Edward Scott Richardson, aged 33, tragically lost his life on December 21, 2011, in Aiken, South Carolina. Officer Richardson, known as Scotty, was shot and killed during a traffic stop. On the evening of December 20, 2011, he and another officer stopped a suspicious vehicle on Brandt Court, near Camellia Street.
