David Blanton, a 24-year-old resident of Loris, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 25, 2014. The incident occurred late at night when Blanton was a passenger in a truck driven by his half-brother, William Scottie Fowler. The vehicle crashed into a power pole near Hill's grocery store on Broad Street around 10:15 p.m. The crash was a result of a shooting that took place on Holly Street near Ford's Fuel Service.
