In the quiet town of Loris, South Carolina, the life of 24-year-old David Everett 'Tater' Blanton III was cut short on a summer day in 2014. On Wednesday, June 25, 2014, Blanton was fatally shot, leaving a void in the lives of his family and friends. A native of the Myrtle Beach area, born on March 27, 1989, his sudden and violent death sent ripples through the community.
