Darnisha Diana Harris, a 16-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on December 2, 2012, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. The incident occurred when police officers responded to a disturbance call on Landry Street. According to reports, Darnisha panicked and drove her car into a police cruiser and a pedestrian. In response, a Breaux Bridge police officer, Travis Guillot, fired his weapon, fatally striking Darnisha.
