In the early morning hours of September 17, 2014, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, 30-year-old Ricardo Terell 'Sisco' Sprinkle was found deceased in his Dodge Magnum in the parking lot of the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites. A Black/African American male, Sprinkle had been fatally shot once in the face. The discovery of his body initiated a homicide investigation that would lead to a lengthy and complex legal saga.
