In the winter of 2015, the city of Louisville was grappling with a surge in violence, a grim trend that brought heartbreak to one family in the Valley Station neighborhood. On the night of Saturday, December 12th, 34-year-old Shaun Manookian, a devoted father of two, was found dead in his home on Millers Lane. An investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department revealed that the young man had been the victim of a violent attack, having suffered multiple stab wounds.
