Mradulaben Patel, aged 59, tragically lost her life on April 30, 2015, in Piedmont, South Carolina. She was shot during a robbery at the BP gas station she co-owned with her husband, located on SC 153 near the Interstate 85 exit. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. when a young man entered the store, purchased a cigar, and then shot Patel in an attempt to rob the cash register.
