In the early morning hours of July 30, 2015, the life of 28-year-old Ickle Tilinn Stanley, a Black/African American male from Longs, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. The violent incident that led to his death unfolded at an underground nightclub in his hometown. It was there that Stanley was shot, sustaining a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.
He was rushed to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 2:55 a.m.
The shooting sent ripples of shock through the local community and prompted an immediate and thorough investigation by law enforcement. Their efforts soon led to a significant development in the case with the arrest of a suspect. Keontrail Jhamarcqwez Wilson, an 18-year-old also from Longs, was taken into custody in connection with Stanley's murder.
Following his arrest, Wilson was officially charged for his role in the fatal shooting. The legal process moved forward, and ultimately, Keontrail Jhamarcqwez Wilson pleaded guilty to his involvement in the crime.
