On August 4, 2015, 48-year-old Brent Allen Jozefkowicz, a registered sex offender, absconded from a Fort Worth halfway house by removing his ankle monitor and fleeing the facility. Jozefkowicz had a criminal history that included a 16-year prison sentence for the sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman and a two-year sentence for indecency with a child. Authorities considered him extremely dangerous and at high risk to reoffend.
