In the summer of 2015, the story of Brent Jozefkowicz, a 48-year-old white male, came to a tragic end on a South Carolina beach. His death, however, was not the beginning of the story, but rather the culmination of a troubled past and a recent escape from law enforcement. Jozefkowicz was a registered sex offender who, on August 4, 2015, fled from a halfway house in Fort Worth, Texas, by cutting off his electronic tracking device.
