In the early morning hours of the Memorial Day weekend in 2016, a young man's life was cut short in a fatal shooting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Pierre Allen, a 23-year-old male, was killed on Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Fountainbleau Inn.

The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. when Allen was shot at the motel located on Flagg Street. He was rushed to Grand Strand Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries, with the cause of death being massive trauma from a gunshot wound.
