In the early morning hours of the Memorial Day weekend in 2016, a young man's life was cut short in a fatal shooting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Pierre Allen, a 23-year-old male, was killed on Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Fountainbleau Inn.
The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. when Allen was shot at the motel located on Flagg Street. He was rushed to Grand Strand Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries, with the cause of death being massive trauma from a gunshot wound.
An investigation into the shooting led to the arrest of two individuals. Lourie Earl Maurice Pearson, then 24 years old, was taken into custody and charged with murder. Also arrested was 19-year-old Tysheria Di Quaysia Salters, who faced a charge of accessory after the fact to a felony.
According to authorities, Pearson and Allen were together with several other people shortly before the shooting. A vehicle stopped in front of them, and Pearson motioned for Allen to approach the passenger side of the car. As Allen neared the vehicle, he was shot in the chest. Surveillance footage reportedly showed Pearson working in concert with the occupants of the vehicle to bring the victim to the car.
