Marquis Jamal Burgess, a 27-year-old resident of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on July 23, 2016. The incident occurred following an argument outside a city fire station, which escalated into a fatal shooting. Burgess, along with 26-year-old Dameion Hakeem Alston, was found critically injured by firefighters who responded to the sound of gunshots and pounding on the station door. Both men were transported to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
