A tragic night of violence unfolded at a popular Myrtle Beach, South Carolina restaurant on October 7, 2018, ending the life of 25-year-old Roger Ramos. An off-duty employee of Riptydz Oceanfront Grille and Rooftop Bar, Ramos was at his workplace to enjoy a UFC fight with a friend when the fatal encounter occurred. He was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School and was remembered by a friend as a funny and lovable person who was also spiritual.
