In the early morning hours of February 27, 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in Georgetown, South Carolina, leaving a scene of chaos and tragedy. When the violence subsided, 33-year-old Deon Geathers, a male resident of the area, was found dead, his life abruptly ended by the bullets that flew that day. Two other individuals were also wounded in the shooting, their injuries a stark reminder of the indiscriminate nature of the attack that claimed Geathers's life.
