Jessie O. Sanders, a 62-year-old resident of Newberry, South Carolina, was found dead on April 11, 2016. His body was discovered by a driver on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 176 around 7:30 a.m. Sanders had been shot multiple times, and his death was ruled a homicide. Sanders was the owner of Sanders-Thompson Funeral Service in Clinton, South Carolina, a business he had operated since 1991.
