In the quiet town of Camden, South Carolina, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy that ended the life of 31-year-old Presis Prescott on May 29, 2016. A female, she was the victim of a fatal shooting that stemmed from an argument with her live-in boyfriend, Therine McKeever. The violent encounter left a child without a mother and a community in mourning.
Following the incident, law enforcement identified McKeever, a convicted felon, as the perpetrator.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with the murder of his common-law wife. As of October 2017, the case against McKeever was still pending, with the trial for the murder of Presis Prescott yet to take place.
