On a tragic Wednesday, May 22, 2019, the life of 66-year-old Josephine Barton was cut short in a violent encounter in Camden, South Carolina. A resident of Columbia, Barton was at her mother's home on Dicey Ford Road when the fatal events unfolded. The quiet neighborhood was disrupted by the sound of gunshots, prompting a 911 call around 11:30 a.m. When Camden police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim reality inside the residence.
