In the early summer of 2016, a birthday celebration in Greenwood, South Carolina, turned into a scene of violence that ended the life of Antwon Lavasia Gilchrist. A 31-year-old man, Gilchrist was attending a birthday party on June 1st when gunfire erupted, tragically cutting his life short. Another individual was also injured in the shooting.
