In a tragic turn of events on August 15, 2016, a simple act of kindness cost a North Charleston, South Carolina man his life. Chadwick Garrett, a 45-year-old male, was shot and killed after stopping to help two teenagers whose SUV was stuck in a ditch near Durant Avenue and North Jimtown Drive.
