In the late summer evening of August 29, 2016, the life of 18-year-old T'zyah DaiQuaiz Nigery Peterson was tragically cut short in Hartsville, South Carolina. An African American male, Peterson was discovered by a passerby lying in the middle of the intersection of Williams and South 6th Street at approximately 10:35 p.m. The grim discovery was made after the sound of gunshots echoed through the neighborhood.
