In the quiet community of Hartsville, South Carolina, the life of 24-year-old Desmond Coe was abruptly ended by an act of gun violence on May 26, 2019. The shooting, which tragically cut short the young man's life, unfolded in the Pine Ridge area, outside a Markette convenience store located at the intersection of West Bobo Newsome Highway and West Old Camden Road.
