The Rock Hill police quickly launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, which led to the arrest of Brandon Marquis McMoore. McMoore, a 25-year-old resident of Rock Hill, was apprehended shortly after the incident and charged with the murder of Daryl Stewart.
