Edward Williams, a 32-year-old resident of Plantation, Florida, was fatally shot on October 17, 2016, at the Hamlet Apartments located at 4681 Northwest 10th Court. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. when Williams was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the hip. Despite being rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries during surgery. The shooting was not considered a random act, as Williams was believed to have known his assailant.
