Derrick Darell Barber, a 28-year-old resident of North Charleston, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 11, 2017. Barber's death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred in the evening hours. According to reports, Barber was found injured and on the ground around 9:30 PM on Oswego and Maverick Streets in downtown Charleston. Despite efforts to save him, Barber succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind his fiancée, Lashay Smith, and their two children.
