Ishmael Knudson, age 29, was fatally shot on January 8, 2011, in Oakland, California. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of Campbell Street, near Campbell Market. When police arrived at the scene, they found Knudson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency medical attention, Knudson did not survive his injuries. This homicide was one of 110 reported in Oakland in 2011, which represented an increase in violence compared to the previous year.
